Training
In order to use any of the instruments, it is important that all users have a minimum knowledge of flow cytometry. We provide training for both the LSRII and Image Stream, this must be fully completed to access the machines. Both machines have their own individual training programs and schedules.
FACSCalibur
We are not currently providing training for the FACS Calibur. However, we can provide assistance if needed.

For Non-BRC users please contact Helen Ferry at helen.ferry@ndm.ox.ac.uk
Training is free for individuals receiving BRC funding - for more information please contact Chris Willberg at chris.willberg@ndm.ox.ac.uk.
Training for the LSRII is in two parts:-
Part one takes roughly 2 hours in a group of up to 5 people. This will provide an overview of the LSRII and how to run the DIVA software.
-
In the second part we will assist you in setting up and running an experiment on an individual basis. This gives everyone the opportunity to run an experiment by themselves with us to guide them, and means we can also address any specific requirements you may have.
We strongly recommend that you have some basic knowledge of flow cytometry before you take a training course. The training course only covers how to set up and run your experiments on the LSRII.
Amnis ImageStream Imaging Cytometer
For information regarding training or access to the ImageStream please contact Katja Simon, katja.simon@ndm.ox.ac.uk.
